Google offers feedback for your website

Google Sitemaps statistics allows you to see what Google thinks about your website
The Google Sitemaps team announced on their blog that they now give feedback about the indexing process.

You need a Google Sitemaps account and you should already added a sitemaps file for your website. If you have done this you're ready.

To participate you have to verify that you're the owner of the website. For now you have to create a file on your website with a unique name given by Google. This is not a really nice solution, but it works.
If you've done this you can now see feedback of Google for your website. For now it only displays webpages that haven't been found or couldn't be resolved (e.g. if you have a password protected area) - and if no error occured you'll get an "all fine" result.

This is really nice, it is the first feedback of a search engine to their users. You should give it a try!

Update (2005-09-01)
It seems that only errors are reported at the moment. Details about successful crawled urls are not available - but might be in the future. Nobody knows. Except Google.
